Interior Ministry plans shelters as defense measure
The Cypriot Interior Ministry submitted compensatory measures to the Council of Ministers for approval that provide for the construction of underground protective shelters as air defense facilities. The step was taken against the backdrop of recent tensions with Iran. The ministry is thereby pursuing a civil protection concept that takes account of the current security situation.
