Invasive Red Lionfish Spread in Cyprus Waters
Red lionfish, originally from the Indo-Pacific, are increasingly multiplying in Cyprus and Mediterranean waters despite control measures. Since their first discovery around 2010, their numbers have grown rapidly, leading to EU-funded monitoring and control projects such as the RELIONMED project.
