Investigation Against State Hospital Over Patient Mistreatment
The Cypriot health authority (SHSO) is investigating nursing staff at a state hospital following a complaint from a family. The case involves an elderly patient who allegedly was injured, but whose deteriorating condition was dismissed as psychological. Staff reportedly told relatives the patient would not survive surgery – this occurred while she was already being wheeled into the operating room.
