Investigation into Kalo Chorio ammunition fire intensifies
An investigation into ammunition destruction at the Kalo Chorio shooting range, which led to a forest fire, now focuses on higher-ranking commanders. The commander of the 70th Pioneer Battalion reportedly acted on instructions from the National Guard General Staff. Military officials deny that temperatures exceeding 38 degrees were the cause, pointing to problematic use of shooting ranges as the main factor. The fire destroyed 120 hectares of wilderness.
