Ionian Sea: Successful Drilling Could Strengthen Greece
A successful exploration drilling in Block 2 of the Ionian Sea could significantly improve Greece's energy security and generate substantial state revenues. The geological formation "Asopos" with an area of approximately 1,000 square kilometers is at the center of exploration plans and could upgrade Greece's position on the European energy map.
