Iran accepts Pakistani peace plan for ceasefire
Under Chinese and Pakistani pressure, Iran has agreed to a peace proposal that provides for a two-week ceasefire and parallel negotiations with the USA in Islamabad. The Iranian government bases its position on a ten-point plan that calls for the lifting of sanctions, the withdrawal of American troops from the region, control of the Strait of Hormuz, and reparation payments.
