Iran attacks US air base in Saudi Arabia, warns of ground offensive
Iran has attacked the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia with missiles and armed drones, injuring 15 US soldiers, five of them seriously. An E-3 Sentry AWACS reconnaissance aircraft was severely damaged. Meanwhile, Iran warned of a possible US ground offensive and declared readiness to respond, while regional powers including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt held talks to end the fighting.
