Iran warns Cyprus against using military bases against Tehran
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on both Cyprus and Bulgaria not to make their military bases available for US operations against Iran. Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos subsequently spoke by telephone with his Iranian counterpart about the current crisis in the Persian Gulf and emphasized the importance of diplomacy for de-escalation. The Iranian warning aims to prevent countries from supporting American military interventions in the region.
