Iran's Confidant Taeb Takes Over Basij Militia
Hossein Taeb, an influential Iranian security official, has taken over leadership of the Basij militia, Iran's paramilitary force. The 63-year-old, known as a ruthless hardliner in Iran's security apparatus, returns to public prominence after years of absence and is regarded as a confidant of Supreme Leader Khamenei.
