Ireland Withdraws from Eurovision 2027 for Second Time
Irish broadcaster RTE announced that Ireland will not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 for the second consecutive year. The reason for the withdrawal is the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip. Ireland had already declined to participate in 2026 along with Iceland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Spain in protest against Israel's participation.
