Israeli businessman transferred to Israel for land appropriation
Convicted Israeli businessman Simon Aykut was transferred to Israel to serve the remainder of his prison sentence. Aykut had been sentenced to five years in prison for unlawfully appropriating Cypriot-Greek property in the northern part of the country. The transfer was carried out on the basis of an international agreement for the transfer of prisoners to their home countries.
