Israelis with smuggled cigarettes in Dherynia - Possible "ant smuggling" network
An Israeli was caught on Wednesday with untaxed cigarettes while crossing the green line in Dherynia in a Turkish-Cypriot taxi. Customs authorities described the incident as possibly part of an organized "ant smuggling" network and reported a concerning upward trend of Israeli citizens illegally transporting goods over the past two months. The phenomenon shows a coordinated smuggling pattern.
