Italian court convicts Egyptian officials for abduction
An Italian court has sentenced three Egyptian security officials in absentia to ten years imprisonment for the abduction of Italian student Giulio Regeni in 2016. The student was tortured and killed in Cairo after his abduction. Murder charges against a fourth official were dismissed.
