Japan Launches First Survey of Animal Cafés
Japan is conducting the first nationwide inventory of animal cafés due to concerns regarding animal welfare, hygiene, and health. The survey, which began this month, will examine the number of establishments, the types of animals housed, and their conditions to better oversee the previously poorly regulated sector.
