Job Vacancies Decline by 19.5% - Hospitality Sector Struggles with Skills Shortage
The number of open job positions in Cyprus fell in the second quarter of 2026 to 12,930, down 19.5% compared to the previous year (16,053 positions). The vacancy rate dropped from 3.3% to 2.6%, but the hospitality and accommodation sector continues to face the highest staffing gaps and remains under pressure.
