New regulations for disadvantaged property buyers aim to address problems on the Cypriot real estate market. Many buyers who paid the purchase price and fulfilled their obligations received no proof of ownership for a long time due to delays, insolvency, or other problems of the seller. The new legislation aims to correct this structural market distortion.
