Krakatau Volcano Erupts: Flight Cancellations in Jakarta Due to Ash Cloud
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta ordered flight restrictions until 9:30 a.m. local time (5:30 a.m. Cyprus time) due to volcanic ash from the Anak-Krakatau volcano. The measure was extended by four hours and affected 33 flights, including several international connections. Air traffic in Southeast Asia has been significantly disrupted as a result.
