Labor Ministry Strengthens Controls Against Illegal Employment
Labor Minister Marinos Mousiouttas announced plans to double the number of inspectors to combat illegal or unregistered work. Currently there are eight inspectors, with additional positions to be created following a decision by the Council of Ministers. However, the strengthened controls could lead to bottlenecks in the labor market.
