Lara Beach: Parasols and Tents Erected Despite Bans
Serious allegations of violations of protective regulations were raised against the protected Lara Beach, where beachgoers allegedly erected parasols and tents in contravention of existing bans. The Cyprus Union of Environmental Organizations calls for more intensive inspections and strict enforcement of environmental laws and raises questions about the effectiveness of monitoring to date.
