Large Quantity of Untaxed Tobacco Seized in Cyprus
Police and customs officers have seized large quantities of suspected untaxed tobacco products following joint operations in Ayia Napa, Paphos, and Nicosia. The raids took place on August 26 and 28, resulting in two arrests. A 47-year-old man in Paphos paid an out-of-court settlement of €4,000, while a 60-year-old man in Nicosia remains in pre-trial detention.
