Large-Scale Fires in Greece – Evacuations in Chalkidiki
Greece is battling several major fires in Chalkidiki, Nafpaktos, Ilia, and Aetolia-Acarnania. The most critical situation exists in Chalkidiki, where strong winds are fanning the flames. Evacuation orders have been issued for residents and tourists, and 12 aircraft are deployed in fighting the fires.
