Large-scale VAT fraud investigation involving €15.7 million
An international investigation by the European Public Prosecutor's Office involving Cyprus, Austria, Bulgaria, and Germany led to the uncovering of VAT fraud amounting to €15.7 million. Four persons were arrested during search operations. The Cypriot police were actively involved in the operations on September 16, 2026.
