Larnaca Forest Fire Destroys 120 Hectares – Authorities Demand Accountability
A forest fire on the Kalo-Chorio firing range near Larnaca on Monday destroyed approximately 120 hectares and was eventually brought under control. The Defense Minister announced that answers and accountability should follow within ten days. The fire was presumably caused by planned explosive destruction during high heat and left hundreds of people fearing for their homes.
