Larnaca intensifies mosquito control against disease vectors
The health service of the city of Larnaca has initiated intensified inspections and insecticide spraying to combat potential mosquito breeding sites in the district. Inspector Andreas Stergides warned of the mosquito species Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, which can transmit non-native diseases such as dengue fever on the island.
