Legislative Reform for Expropriation Procedures with Clear Compensation Rules
The Cypriot Interior Ministry modernizes legislation on expropriations of real estate property through sharper definition of citizen rights. The new Land Registry law clearly regulates compensation payment with 3% interest, without taxes and fees. Clear procedures are provided for cases of refusal, absence, incapacity or death of the claimant.
