Lifeguard certification overhauled due to staff shortage
Cyprus is reforming the training and certification of lifeguards, with the process being transferred to a professional standard under the supervision of the Human Development Authority (Anad). The new system replaces the previous procedure of lifeguard associations and aims to evaluate candidate knowledge and skills more uniformly.
