Lithuanian citizen extradited for misappropriation of Cypriot property rights
A Lithuanian national accused of unlawfully appropriating Greek-Cypriot property in the occupied territories was arrested in France in May. The Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal accepted an extradition request from the Republic of Cyprus on 1 July 2026 under a European Arrest Warrant. This development has provoked reactions in the occupied territories, including from the so-called progressive side.
