Lunar ice formed over 1.5 billion years
A new study shows that ice at the moon's poles did not form suddenly, but accumulated over a long period of at least 1.5 billion years. The research, published in Nature Astronomy, was led by an international team of scientists, including planetary scientist Paul Hayne from the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics.
