Machakos Agreements: Political Instrumentalization Criticized
A commentary criticizes that Cypriot politicians have misused the historic Machakos Agreements of 1977-1979 between Makarios and Denktash as well as Kyprianou and Denktash for their own purposes. Now the Turkish negotiator Erhiourmaan is also referring to these accords and attempting to interpret them according to his own ideas.
