Maltese businessman acquitted in journalist murder case
Maltese businessman Yorgen Fenech was acquitted despite being charged with inciting the murder of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. After a two-month trial, he had been charged with complicity in murder and criminal association for the commission of murder. Had he been convicted, Fenech would have faced substantial penalties.
