Mammoth remains discovered in the Danube due to low water levels
Remains believed to be from a mammoth were discovered in northern Bulgaria after the Danube's water level fell to a record low. Europe's rivers are drying up due to extreme heat and drought affecting the continent this summer. The discovery site is normally the Danube riverbed but was exposed by the unprecedented drought.
