Man convicted of attempted murder and rape
A 20-year-old man was found guilty by the Famagusta Criminal Court of attacking a 26-year-old woman at a hotel in the district in August 2024, committing attempted murder and rape. The court determined that the defendant intended to kill the woman, raped her while she was unconscious, and left her believing she was dead.
