Massive forest fire in Belgium threatens Germany – evacuations in Monschau
A large forest fire on the Belgian side of the border has led to the immediate evacuation of residents in the German city of Monschau. Almost 30,000 hectares are ablaze, and authorities warned the approximately 12,000 residents of the danger posed by the fire.
