Mavroyiannis Elected Chair of UN International Law Commission
Former Greek-Cypriot chief negotiator on the Cyprus issue Andreas Mavroyiannis was elected on Monday to chair the United Nations International Law Commission. He will hold the office until April of next year. The Commission is a body of experts tasked by the UN with the development and codification of international law.
