Mecca agreement also has implications for Cyprus
The new Mecca defense alliance does not create two clear camps in the Middle East, but is already showing economic and energy policy consequences. According to Galia Lindenstrauss of Israel's Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), the agreement also influences the eastern Mediterranean region and thus Cyprus.
