Memory lives in people, not in monuments
Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides emphasized at a commemorative event in the municipality of Amathus that memory of the victims and missing persons of the 1974 Turkish invasion is preserved through people, not through monuments. He pointed out that the tragedy of 1974 did not begin with the invasion on July 20, but with the preceding coup.
