Meridiam acquires majority stake in Greece-Cyprus power connection
French investment group Meridiam entered as majority shareholder of the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI) to develop the electricity connection project between Greece and Cyprus. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis described the agreement as strategically significant for energy security in the eastern Mediterranean region. The project is intended to end Cyprus's energy isolation and strengthen regional energy security. The signing took place on Wednesday at the Maximos Palace.
