Metropolitan of Morphou must face court again over Corona violations
The Court of Appeal ordered a retrial of the case against the Metropolitan of Morphou for events from 2021 during the Corona pandemic. The Attorney General's appeal was accepted and the acquittal by the court of first instance was overturned. The Metropolitan had at the time called on believers to attend a water blessing on Epiphany, despite pandemic restrictions being in place.
