Middle East smartphone market shifts to premium devices
Smartphone shipments in the Middle East (excluding Turkey) declined 19 percent year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026 to 10.6 million units. This is the strongest decline since the fourth quarter of 2025 and is driven by rising prices, supply chain constraints, and geopolitical uncertainty pushing manufacturers toward higher-end devices.
