Middle East tensions escalate: Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan agree on alliance
Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, in which Iran and its allies have attacked Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states and blocked their energy supply, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan have concluded a mutual defense agreement. The agreement aims to strengthen collective deterrence against aggression and commits the signatories to mutual support.
