Migration: Significant Decline in Asylum Applications in Cyprus
The number of asylum applications in Cyprus has dropped dramatically – from 12,000 a few years ago to only a few hundred. The ratio between arrival and departure numbers is approximately 1:5. This allows authorities to focus more on legal migration and reintegration.
