Military catering: 9.5 million euros annually, but soldiers avoid the canteen
According to the audit office, taxpayers will pay a total of 9.5 million euros in 2025 for the catering of conscripts, yet 69 percent regularly use the canteen shop, 41 percent prefer to eat outside the barracks, and 74 percent skip meals in their unit.
