Mitsotakis at UN: Cyprus is Credibility Test for United Nations
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis delivered a speech to the UN General Assembly in New York in which he described Cyprus as a "credibility test" for the United Nations. He emphasized that the Eastern Mediterranean region bears an "open wound" due to the unresolved Cyprus question and that 52 years have passed since the illegal Turkish invasion. Mitsotakis simultaneously advocated for multilateralism and moderate tones toward Turkey, stating that "Greece builds bridges, we are not troublemakers."
