Monk Detained Over Attack on Abbot at Agios Neofytos Monastery
A monk from Agios Neofytos Monastery carried out an attack with a sharp object last Friday, seriously injuring a technician and another worker. The primary target was Abbot Leontios, but a worker placed himself protectively in front of him. The injured technician is recovering well and is scheduled to receive monastic ordination on August 16.
