With the arrival of autumn, dominance fights between male mouflons (wild sheep) are increasing, as their large horns can become tangled during confrontations. The Cyprus Hunting and Wildlife Service reports that while such natural fights are typical, they can lead to severe injuries and even deaths when horns become locked together and rescue measures are required.
