Multiple Fires in Cyprus Cause Damage – No Injuries
Two separate fires occurred on the island over the weekend. In the Orountas region, a fire broke out at three different locations in the area "Kampos tou Milou" and destroyed approximately one hectare of dry grass and wild vegetation. A second fire severely damaged a metal storage building next to a house in Melikourio, with fortunately no injuries reported. The fire department responded in both cases and brought the fires under control.
