Multiple Fires in Nicosia District – Black Smoke Over the City
The fire department responded to three separate fires in the Nicosia district, according to fire department spokesperson Andreas Kettis. The first fire broke out in the occupied area of Gerolakkos and produced a thick black smoke cloud visible from several parts of Nicosia. The fire department also responded to fires in dry grass areas and wild vegetation near the municipality of Meníko.
