National Cancer Institute to Reform Cancer Control
Cyprus records approximately 4,500 new cancer cases annually, mainly breast cancer in women (about 800 cases per year), prostate cancer in men (600-700 cases), and colorectal cancer. The planned National Cancer Institute is to improve the fight against this growing public health challenge through a comprehensive system spanning prevention to long-term follow-up care.
