NATO considers abolishing annual summit meetings
NATO is discussing, according to several sources, ending its previous practice of holding annual summit meetings, possibly to avoid tense encounters with US President Donald Trump in his final year in office. The Trump administration has repeatedly criticized many of the 31 other NATO member states.
