Nature reserve endangered by drying up of springs in Alona
The municipal council of Alona is calling for an urgent investigation by the water authority regarding the drying up of local springs, which threatens the water supply of the region. The Natura 2000 protected area and the Pitsilia region are affected by this water crisis, as stated in a letter from municipal president Michalis Nikiforou dated July 2.
